Appanapalli Temple History:
The founder of the present Balaji Devasthanam is Sri Molleti Ramaswamy, an ardent devotee of the Lord of the Seven Hills.He visited Tirupati regularly, when the Lord appeared as a child in the dreams of the devotee and told him that he would manifest himself in his village. One day, Rama Swamy saw Lord Balaji Idol in the weighing pan, named the Idol Balaji and installed the Idol.
Ekadasi Wednesday at 10.10 A.M. on March 18, 1970. Sri Ramaswamy laid the foundation stone for the construction of the New Temple in the singing of Mantras by the Vedic Scholars. The New Temple was completed on 4.7.1991.Today, Appanapalli has become the second Tirupathi to attract pilgrims from all parts of our country.
