Ramayapatnam Beach:
Ramayapatnam Beach is situated on the Bay of Bengal coast, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, district of Prakasam. The beach is being established by the state board of tourism, APTDC, for tourism.It is located 20 km from Kavali, 61 km from Ongole and 80 km from city of Nellore.
Ramayapatnam is a small village on the bank of the Bay of Bengal in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, India, 5 km from NH-5. It is a sightseeing spot. The name was “Ramapatnam” earlier, and later the name Mayapatnam was renamed “Ramayapatnam ” again.Technically the Ramayapatnam falls under the district of Prakasam.
Ramayapatnam Lighthouse:
There is a lighthouse here, Established more than a century ago by the American Baptist Mission.Lighthouse is 7 floors. There is no lift but the steps are simple and every level you get nice views of the sea. The final part of the climb is a little difficult, the steps end in a cabin with an iron ladder that leads through a trap door to the top of the lighthouse.
