Prasanna Venkateswara Temple Appalayagunta
Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Appalayagunta, 16 km from Tirupati in the Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh, India, is a Vaishnavite temple. Lord Venkateswara, referred to as Prasanna Venkateswara, is dedicated to the temple. The presiding deity has its right hand in the Abhaya pose, unlike other traditional Venkateswara temples.The King of Karvetinagaram, Sri Venkata Perumalaraju Brahmadeva Maharaj, founded the temple in 1232 AD.
About Appalayagunta Temple :
This is the location where, on the occasion of his marriage, Lord Venkateswara Swamy met Sri Siddeshwara and other sages. This is the location for the union of the Lord with Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, his consort.
Also found in the temple is Vayu Bhagavan’s, He is also a major deity.
The temple has great powers to discharge the physical , psychological and career misfortunes of dosha.
In this temple, the Goddess Padmavathi, Smt Andal Devi and Lord Anjaneya Swamy idols are installed. Here, Vayu Bhagavan is venerated for the relief of chronic diseases. The temple has been operated by TTD since 1988.

The annual Bramhostavam is celebrated for 10 days during the month of Jyesta (May / June).
