Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary:

The Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is located near the village of Nelapattu in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It has a total land area of 458.92 hectares.

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary is home to 189 bird species, 50 of which are migratory. It is an important breeding site for black-headed ibis, Asian openbill, black-crowned night heron, and little cormorant, in addition to the spot-billed pelican. Northern pintail, common teal, little grebe, northern shoveler, Eurasian coot, Indian spot-billed duck, grey heron, Oriental darter, black-winged stilt, garganey, and gadwall are among the other migratory water birds that visit the sanctuary.

Flamingo Festival Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary: Every year, between November and January, the festival is held to boost tourism in Pulicat Lake and Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary. Cultural programmes depicting the particular traits of migratory birds are held throughout the three-day event, which has been organised by the State government since 2001.

Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary Entry Fees: Adults pay INR 2, children pay INR 1, and foreign visitors pay INR 400.
