Lord Anjaneya Swamy is honoured in Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple. In Muthyumpeta village, Mallial mandal, Jagitial district, Telangana, India, there is a famous temple called Kondagattu Temple. Jagtial is around 15 kilometres away, and Karimnagar is about 35 kilometres away.
Kondagattu Temple History:
The shrine was built over 300 years ago by a cowherd, according to legend. Krishna Rao Deshmukh renovated the current temple 160 years ago. The temple also houses the idols of Lord Venkateswara, Goddess Alwaarula, and Goddess Lakshmi, in addition to the primary deity Anjaneya swamy.
Devotees believe that if those who do not have children perform puja at this kondagattu anjaneya swamy temple for 40 days, they would be blessed with a child. And devotees think that if persons with mental disabilities or other health problems perform puja at this temple for 40 days, they will be cured.
Water, the most basic resource of life, has been revered from time immemorial. Water Abhishekam is used to worship the deities. Sri Anjaneya was Lord Shiva’s incarnation. Pilgrims come here to fulfil their vows and worship Kondagattu Anjanna. And Sri Anjaneya Swamy has a diksha of 11 days, 21 days, and 41 days. And Sri Swamy vari chandanam obtained from Swamy Varu’s left hand bowl is a good mahatyam, and every devotee believes in the aforesaid Chandanam. When visiting this temple, pilgrims must always take chandanam as prasadam.
