Medaram Jatara 2025 Dates:
The Medaram Jatara festival will be held in Medaram Village, Tadvai Mandal, Mulugu district, on February 12–15, 2025. Every two years, the event draws millions of devotees from all across India and overseas.
A legendary story of two tribal woman leaders who battled the Kakatiya monarchs is found in the Medaram Jatara. The celebration honors the mother and daughter team that battled an unfair law, Sammakka and Saralamma. After Kumbha Mela, the celebration is thought to draw the greatest number of devotees in the nation.

About Sammakka Sarakka Jatara date 2025:
The Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma Mahajatara dates for 2025 have been confirmed. Four days in February will be dedicated to celebrating the Mahajatara. The dates of the Medaram Mahajatara, scheduled for 2025, were declared by the temple priests. From February 12 to 15, there will be the Mahajatara.
Sarakka’s idol is transported from Kannepalli to Medaram on Day 1, February 12. The idol of Pagididda Raju is transported from Poonugondla to Medaram.
Day 2, February 13: Following lengthy pujas by the Koya tribes stop at Chilakalagutta (the hill where the Kumkum coffin is housed), Sammakka’s idol and the Kumkum casket are taken to Medaram (typically by midnight). From Kondai to Medaram, the idol of Govinda Raju is transported.
Day 3, February 14: Sammakka and Saralamma are worshipped along with their respective consorts, Govinda Raju and Pagididda Raju. The Jatara concludes with the “Tallula Vanapravesham” (entrance into the forest) on Day 4, February 15. Up until the following Jatara, the Kumkum coffin is transported back to Chilakalagutta and stored there.
