Shirdi Temple History:

Many people became devotees of Sai Baba’s divine power. In Shirdi , Samadhi Mandir is the most unique place. In 1914 there was a flower garden in the place where the tomb is now. This garden is the result of Baba’s self-effort. There, the ground was levelled and the flower plants planted were carefully watered. Baba ordered Gopala Rao Booti, a millionaire from Nagpur, to build this shrine. By 1918, the shrine was demolished and Booty hoped to enshrine Muralidhar there. Baba breathed his last in Dwarkamai and said, ‘Take me to that rock‘. That is why their grave is there. Currently this temple is running under the auspices of a trust. 600 people can pray at a time in the temple built entirely of marble stones.
