Kuntala Waterfall – Adilabad:
A waterfall in the Telangana state of India, Kuntala Waterfall is situated on the Kadam River in the Neradigonda mandal of the Adilabad district. With a height of 150 metres, it is the state’s tallest waterfall.
These waterfalls are located in the extensive woodlands where the Gond people live. Pond is known as kunta in Gondi and Telugu. Kuntalu translates as numerous ponds. The river Kadem and a number of ponds come together to form the waterfall’s source.
Kuntala Falls, which pours down through two stairs and can be viewed as two independent nearby falls after the peak rains, was created by the Kadam River. One of Hyderabad’s well-known one-day excursions is this one. Up until the falls’ entry point, where stairs are accessible to descend to the bottom of the falls, there is a motorable road. The walk to the falls takes around 10 minutes (one way).
