Mallavaram Dam:

This location, which spans the Gundlakamma River and is famed for the Mallavaram Dam (also known as Kandula Obula Reddy Reservoir), features parks and a temple on one side. This is a place where one can enjoy a picnic for a long period. This area needs a lot of development. Since there won’t be as many visitors on workdays, it is preferable to schedule visits exclusively for the weekends and even then, only in the evening. There is boat parking available.

Families in Ongole should consider visiting this location. You may make it into a pleasant weekend by going to this lovely, spiritual location. The Lord Venkateswara temple here is well-known among the surrounding communities. Hundreds of people from Ongole and the surrounding areas attend the annual tirunala. 

Owning a car is necessary to get to the dam. There are no suitable facilities available. Every day is a good day to go boating, although Sundays are the busiest and you don’t have to wait for a spot.
