Komuravelli Mallanna Temple:

Hindu temple Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, sometimes referred to as Komuravelli Mallanna Temple, is situated on a hill in Komuravelli village in Siddipet district in Telangana state, India.The main god is Mallanna, also known as Mallikarjuna Swamy, who is a manifestation of Shiva. The Maharashtrians also refer to the god as Khandoba. The distance between Hyderabad and the temple is roughly 85 km.

The song “Oggu Katha” tells the tale of Mallanna. In this Oggu katha, Swamy Mallanna wed the goddess Medallamma while putting up with her brothers’ demands. Goddess Medallamma, the spouse of Lord Shiva, is also known as Bramarambika.

At the main temple are Mallanna and his consorts Medalamma, Goddess Parvati, and Golla Kethamma, Goddess Ganga. Here, the Oggu Katha singers perform the Mallanna story. Oggu Pujaris, who draw a rangoli known as Patnam (a way of offering prayers to the Lord) in front of Lord Mallanna within the temple as well as on the verandah, assist devotees in praying to Mallanna.

Festivals Celebrated at Komrelly Mallanna Temple:

Both the Agni Gundaalu, which is observed on the Sunday preceding Ugadi, and Maha Shivaratri, when the Pedda Patnam is observed, draw large crowds of worshippers to the Mallanna temple. Sankranti marks the start of the joyful period known as Mallanna Jatara, which lasts till Ugadi. On every Sunday that falls between Sankranti and Ugadi, a sizable number of worshippers pay prayers to the deity.

The devotees that visit Mallanna temple also go to Konda Pochamma temple, which is close by.

6:00 am – 12:00 pm – Darshan

12:00 pm – Maha Nivedana.

By Air: Hyderabad International Airport, 85 kilometres from this temple, is the closest airport. Using local buses, you may go to this temple with ease from here.

By Train: Jangam, which is 45 kilometres from this temple, is home to the closest railway station. From Jangam, a direct bus travels to the temple.

By Road: Direct buses are accessible from nearly all of the nation’s cities. The temple is 22 kilometres from Siddipet and 110 kilometres from Warangal stations.
