Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple History:
The hill that hosts the primary deity Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy is thought to have been formed from a pile of ragi (millet) and was therefore called “Ragigudda.”During this era, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva’s holy trinity articulated their willingness to stay close to the hillock and transformed into neighboring rocks. These three stones now bear trinity engravings. The temple was established in 1969. Every year in December, Sri hanuman jayanti ragigudda festival is marked as a 12-day case in grandeur at the ragigudda temple, attended by over 35,000 pilgrims.
