Shilparamam, a crafts village founded in 1992, is located just a few kilometers from Hyderabad. Shilparamam, spread across 65 acres (260,000 m2) of land in India’s hi-tech hub city, provides a scenic ambience of tradition and cultural heritage. The state government established this platform to promote and preserve Indian arts and crafts, as well as to motivate artisans.
Museum of Rural Life
The rural museum is surrounded by trees and depicts a typical Indian village in miniature. Over 15 life-sized huts made of baked clay and thatch depict rural and tribal lifestyles as well as the lives of various artisans. The Rock Museum
Subrata Basu of Shantiniketan has created a rock garden here by combining his personal rock collection with local rock formations. The natural formations in Rock Museum stand unmoved in a scenic form. This Rock Museum includes a fantastic ecological component.
