Navratri 2022:
Navratri – As one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals, Navratri is celebrated with great reverence and is one of the oldest festivals dating back to immemorial times. It is widely observed in India and other parts of the world for nine days and nights. However, Navratri has different meanings in different parts of India and follows the lunar calendar, which is why it is celebrated as Chaitra Navratri in March/April and Sharad Navratri in September/October.

Navratri 2022 Day 1: Shailaputri
Pratipada is dedicated to Goddess Shailaputri. Putri denotes a daughter, whereas Shaila denotes a mountain. Goddess Parvati is honoured on this day because she is the Mountain God’s daughter.
Navratri 2022 Day 2: Brahmacharini
Goddess Brahmacharini, a Durga Devi incarnation of Dwitiya, is known for her ability to calm people down. As a result, on the second day, this Goddess is honoured.
Brahmacharini is the goddess of love and loyalty. She is a goddess depicted with a water pot in her left hand and a rosary in her right. Devotees decorate their homes with jasmine or white lotus flowers on this day.
Navratri 2022 Day 3: Chandraghanta
On Tritiya, devotees worship Chandraghanta. She is said to have a third eye and to fight evil demons. To please her, jasmine blossoms are offered during puja.
Navratri 2022 Day 4: Kushmanda
The goddess Kushmanda is honoured on Chaturthi. Her name means “cosmic egg,” and she is known for filling people with warmth and energy.

On Panchami, the Goddess Skandamata rules over Buddha (the Mercury planet). She is respected because she is thought to be strong and kind.
Navratri 2022 Day 6: Katyayani
Durga, according to legend, took the form of Devi Katyayani on the sixth day, Shashti, to kill the King of Demons. Women offer their prayers for a happy marriage and family.

Saptami is specifically dedicated to the goddess Kalaratri. She is said to be fierce and to have terrified evil spirits from all over the world. She is Lord Shani’s ruler and Kali Devi’s most dreadful manifestation (Saturn Planet).
Navratri 2022 Day 8: Mahagauri
Mahagauri is worshipped on the eighth day. On special occasions, she only wears white and rides a bull. Over the occasion, Kanya Puja, a special ceremony for young virgin girls, is held. This day is known as Maha Ashtami or Maha Durgashtami. To commemorate the occasion, dance, entertainment, and prayers are used.
Navratri 2022 Day 9: Siddhidhatri
Navami is bestowed upon Devi Siddhidhatri. She is capable of fulfilling all of your wishes, so the ninth day is dedicated to her.
Siddhi refers to superhuman abilities, whereas dharti refers to the provider. As a result, she bestows extraordinary abilities on humans. She bestows mystical abilities on humans.
